• To identify and select highly motivated leaders to participate in the program.
  • To inform and educate participants, and where appropriate the community at large, on current issues and challenges facing our community.
  • To encourage participants to develop and utilize their networking skills.
  • To encourage members to form, independently, action-oriented task groups which focus on priority issues within their respective communities.
  • To identify organizational and individual opportunities for community involvement and assist in the placement of participants in these positions.
  • To counsel participants on management and leadership skills and their application to volunteer community leadership positions.
  • To develop interpersonal relationships and teamwork among the participants, providing a common ground for working together on community projects.
  • To create a dialogue and rapport among the participants and existing community leadership.
